OUR HISTORY
Founded in 2015 by a group of FCC members, the Framingham Country Club Charitable Foundation
is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
In our 1st year, we raised over $56,000 to benefit Play for Pink & the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the
Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
In our 2nd year, the Foundation shifted to funding local charities. Play for Pink remained a major recipient, receiving $15,000. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center was awarded $5,000. Most funding, a total of $27,000, was distributed to seven local organizations.
2018 marks the first year of the Foundation's commitment to supporting only local charities. Five groups received funding for a second consecutive year and Family Promise was newly selected.
2019 and 2020 awarded 4 grants again to local charities where FCCCF grants could make a big difference towards their missions. Preference was given to active smaller organizations that strive for food or housing assistance, education and health, and an extra grant was made to help with food security at the beginning of the pandemic.
2020 was also a year in 'situ' for the foundation as the club weathered the pandemic in terms of general operations and public safety. Late fall 2020 a new FCCCF board was elected to persist in the foundation philanthropic mission to help others who live in our local communities, and launched the 2021 Feeding the Community through Covid campaign. Thanks to board efforts, the foundation was able to grant over $16000. to Daniel's Table and A Place to Turn to help with local food security.
