GRANT AWARD GUIDELINES AND PRINCIPLES
The Framingham Country Club Charitable Foundation’s goal is to positively impact our local communities by awarding grants to worthy organizations that serve individuals within the Metro West area.
IT IS THE INTENT OF THE FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT
THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF CAUSES:
Community / social services,
Cultural enrichment,
Educational,
Environmental,
Health & Wellness
The Foundation is required to make grants to nonprofit organizations classified as 501(c) (3).
Grants are not awarded to individuals and are issued on a selective basis.
The Foundation will accept only one grant request, per grant cycle, per organization. However, a separate request may be submitted by a supporting organization, if it is a separate federally tax-exempt organization. Grants may not be used for officer or staff salaries. Grant awards do not fund endowments, debt reduction, loans or travel.
Grant awards may support projects by religious institutions, provided the projects are principally non-religious in nature and not limited to members of the applicants institution or congregation. In general, the foundation does not fund “capital projects”, defined as brick and mortar and permanent fixtures.
The Foundation board reserves the right to reject applications for projects or from organizations advocating or associated with either side of issues it deems controversial or political.
Previous grant recipients will only be considered when the intent or positive impact of the prior grant funds can be confirmed.
